Follower of Jacques d'Arthois - ( 1613 - 1686) Flemish School . ' Extensive landscape view - near a village with figure & dog in foreground. ' Oil on thick oak panel : 34. 5 x 42 cms. ( Please check out - the hand bevelling .) Overall size with frame : 49 x 56 cms. ( Frame is a modern addition .) Lovely Flemish 18th Century panel - in overal very nice condition given its age. Dates from c 1720 - 1740 with fine Craquelure across the panel surface. Under the UV lamp the old crack which can be seen , clearly shows up - as well as a small number of retouches .
