Jade Pendant with Tassel

2 ⅛" diameter jade 10"H overall with tassel

Carved pale celadon jade pendant of circular form, the outer ring worked in low relief with scrolling motifs and the recessed central medallion carved with a coiled creature, mounted on a brown braided silk cord with red hardstone beads and suspending a pair of brown tassels with gilt-thread caps.

Condition: Good. Light scratches and faint cloudy inclusions to the outer ring. The swivelling central disc of slightly greyer tone with a matte, less-polished surface and rubbing to the shallow incised detail. Cord, beads and tassels are later fittings, the tassels with numerous loose and frizzed threads and uneven ends.
