Condition Report: Colored Gems:Type(s): Jadeite jade Shape(s): CarvingsCount: 1 - 25Avg Quality: GoodMetals:GoldOverall Condition: Very GoodCondition Notes: Embark on a journey through myth and nature with this exquisite lot of three jadeite jade carvings set in gold. The largest piece, a symmetrical cloud-shaped slab, measures approximately 4 inches by 3-5/16 inches and comes to life with the intricately carved figures of a phoenix on one side and a dragon on the other, set in a landscape of grayish-green jade bordered by reddish-brown, stamped "18K," but tests 14k gold through acid and XRF testing. The second carving, a harmonious tableau of birds and blossoms on one side and a tranquil riverside abode on the other, is framed by gold that tests 14k and is stamped "14KP, 585" with the maker's mark JJ. Completing this trio is a three-dimensional sculpture of a swan and a fish drilled to accommodate a bail marked "18k" but whose purity tests at 16k.
