An exquisite, extremely rare Atmos table clock model "Jubilé", produced in a limited edition of 1500 pieces; with original red case in the shape of a tabernacle Ref. 5861, Cal. 550, Dimensions 240 x 170 x 155 mm, circa 1979, Origin Schweiz, Original box Case: Gilt metal, glazed on five sides, original "Jaeger-LeCoultre" imprint on the front door. Dial: Enamel, Roman numerals. Movm.: Gilt, driven by changes in air pressure, torsion pendulum. The "Jubilé" model reference 5861 was launched in 1979 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first Atmos pendulum clock created in 1928 by Jean-Leon Reutter. The design was based on the Atmos K2 dating from 1931. Calibre 550 was created specially for this clock. The movement was designed to look like the original ATMOS I calibre with an updated motor replacing the original mercury motor. The Jubilé is newly revised and in immaculate condition. Case: very good. Dial: very good. Movm.: very good, capable of running.
