[ translate ]

1969, 2

1969,
Diana Rigg's personal copy of the spiral-bound programme for the Royal World Premiere of On Her Majesty's Secret Service, at the Odeon, Leicester Square, 18th December 1969, including synopsis, cast list, and extensive advertising relating to Bond branding partners, together with issue 1636 of Italian ilustrado magazine depicting Diana Rigg and George Lazenby on the front cover, accompanied by a provenance certificate,
9in x 11 1/4in (23m x 28.5cm) (2)

Contessa Teresa da Vicenzo was the daughter of Marc-Ange Draco, the head of the criminal organisation 'Unione Corse' which sought to overtake SPECTRE. 'Tracy' and James Bond fall in love and get married before she is killed by Blofeld in the final moments of the film. Upon release, On Her Majesty's Secret Service was so popular that it broke the house record at the Odeon Leicester Square in its first two weeks.

Despite reports at the time of George Lazenby and Diana Rigg's working relationship, their on-screen chemistry resulted in one of the most memorable films in the James Bond franchise. Diana admitted to the much-reported eating garlic before recording a kissing scene with Lazenby, as a practical joke or a happy accident.
