James Madison Document Signed as President

Partly-printed vellum DS, one page, 13.25 x 8.5, October 1, 1814. President Madison grants Thomas Nicholson a parcel from "the Lands directed to be sold at Zanesville." Signed at the conclusion by President Madison and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office Edward Tiffin. Mounted and matted to an overall size of 20 x 15.75. In very good to fine condition, with some creasing, soiling, and a missing seal.
