Fine large silver verge watch 0. 800 with windmill automaton - rare!
Outer casing missing
Silver spindle housing. classically executed
White painted enamel dial shows a landscape by the river. A sailing boat on the river - in the background a church. A farmer in front. On the right is a finely painted windmill with attached wind blades - gold-colored. When the clock is running the wind blade turns. At the top there is the dial with Arabic numerals and an external minute track. On the outer edge the scale for the jumping central seconds with Arabic numerals of 5 and 60 second divisions.
To the right below the windmill there is a lever on the housing where the second and thus also the windmill wheel can be stopped.
Masterful painting and rare execution
Unlocking for the factory foldout under the six
Finely shaped movement with 3/4 decoration and a beautifully designed verge cock with central flower and head end. Round pillars. Signed Yes Roseland London No 1768.
Movement and machine working.
As collector items, the running accuracy and running time have not been tested.
Winding on the dial - winding key and own time setting key on the center square of the time hand.
Watch diameter 53mm - height with pedant 80mm - weight 101. 4g.
