. There is a patch of restoration and over painting above the gable end of the left hand side building and is approx. 3cm by 2cm. Further delicate and sporadic retouching to the foliage in this general area. The upper approximate sixth of the trunk of the tree has been overpainted and there is a further patch of general strengthening and overpainting to the right of this within the foliage and the roof of the building beneath. The silhouette of the bird on the right hand side perched on the balcony of the building and the outer edge of the building has been strengthened. There has been a further course of retouching and restoration at another period which involves relatively sporadic retouching within the canopy of the tree, some of the outer edges, elements of some of the figures faces and within the general composition of the foreground. Cleaned and re varnished. The surface is somewhat abraded and thin in places as a result of this, mostly evident within the background. Minor rubbing/abrasions to some edges, surface dirt and discoloured varnish. Fine stable craquelure in areas, most prominently within a horizontal band across window height of buildings. The back of the painting has a good quality cradle. In essentially stable condition.
