Jan Hovener (1936-2021) - Le quai aux fleurs et la conciergerie Paris
Le quai aux fleurs et la conciergerie Paris
The Rotterdam painter Jan Hovener was born in the shadow of the Feyenoord stadium on August 14, 1936. After studying at the Rotterdam Academy, he won the Talens Prize (1959) at a young age. Since then, his great talent has not gone unnoticed. A self-portrait in which he clearly expressed his passion for painting was much to the surprise of Willem Sandberg, director of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. He wrote about Hovener's self-portrait as someone who had incredible vision. Especially for someone in their twenties.
Oil on panel 60 X 80 CM in very good condition. In possession of Gallery Frame, which is included free of charge with the painting upon collection and shipping without size.
See the painter's website about his successes.
Shipping with frame will incur a surcharge based on location/country.
The work will be carefully packaged and sent internationally by registered mail.
