Jan Vrolijk (1845-1894) was a Dutch painter, draughtsman, etcher and watercolourist. He was a pupil of Piet Stortenbeker and the Hague Academy of Fine Arts. Vrolijk did mostly meadow landscapes with cattle. The signature has been checked by means of UV test and found to be genuine by an independent expert. Any damage and unevenness visible in the photos are part of the description.
