Haverkamp was a painter from the Belgian school and active between 1894 and 1908 in the Netherlands and Belgium. He mainly painted portraits and landscapes. His work hangs in the Amsterdam Museum (formerly the Amsterdam Historical Museum) . The canvas is from 1905, ‘De Aanraking’ and details are beautiful. Unfortunately, it is not clear who the man in the portrait is, Haverkamp has portrayed, among other things, the director of the Amsterdam city theatre and the director of the Amsterdam singing association Excelsior; see also the portrait of Nathan Judels (1814-1903) . See RKD. The name of the woman in the painting is also there but is not legible, and it is also dated 1905. Dimensions of the painting: 50 cm x 40 cm. Will be carefully sent with track and trace.
