Jan Zondag (Annen (Aa en Hunze) April 13, 1891 – Sint Jansklooster (Overijssel) , September 6, 1982) was a Dutch painter and draftsman.

Jan Zondag was born on April 13, 1891, the eldest of a family of seven children, and grew up in Annen, a farming village in the north of the municipality of Aa en Hunze, in Drenthe. Sunday, destined to become a farmer, became intrigued by drawing and painting. Partly due to his encounters with the French painter Alphonese Stengelin (1852-1938) , who regularly came from Lyon to paint the Drenthe landscape, Zondag was encouraged to start making work himself.
