Janice Yow Hindes, a San Antonio, Texas artist, received her Masters of Science in Art from Texas A&M University at Kingsville and later went on to found the Hindes Art School. Hindes has received many awards including the Coppini Adult Scholarship,and Scottsdale Art School Purchase Prize. Hindes has exhibited at the Cowboy Artist of America Museum, the Gilcrease Museum Miniature Show, won Best of Show Regional OPA and became an OPA Signature Member. As Coppini Artist of the Year, she also served as their president. Hindes was accepted into the National Association of Professional Plein Aire Painters and exhibited at the NYC National Arts Club. She was also a winner in the first Annual Ray Mar Contest.
