Janusz Haka was born in Bytom, Poland, in 1951, and currently lives and works in Los Angeles. If there is a reference in Haka’s production, it is that of the 1960s American Pop Art, which in turn lived by references taken from the media contemporary language. But Haka overcomes the distance that pop artists interposed between themselves and the subjects to whom it referred.
