The blade is traditional hand forged in Showa period ( 1926-1945) by gendai smith Murayama Kanetoshi from Seki city, Gifu prefecture and signed: " Kanetoshi saku ", Rikugun Jumei Tosho, listed in John Slough's book page: 70. The blade has goed WW 2 time polish and shows minor scratches and stains , but no nicks , no crack or chips, no forging flaws and cutting edge is very sharp, " gunome- choji" with konie active hamon and deep temper at the point.
