An antique Japanese pottery vessel of compressed globular form with a short cylindrical neck and broad everted rim, covered overall in a brilliant monochrome green glaze. The lead-based glaze and distinctive coloration are consistent with pre-WWII Awaji ware. Presented on a fitted wood pedestal. Measures: 3-3/4" H x 4-1/2" D.
