Japanese Bronze Meiji Period Censer
DESCRIPTION: A Japanese Bronze Incense Burner. This is a Meiji Period lidded censer with a lion dog (komainu) finial and elephant handles. Its body heavily carved with birds motif and its reticulated lid with floral relief decorations. This censer is designed with a three legged base that is further embellished with dragon heads motifs. It is marked with a japanese signature stamp on bottom.
CIRCA: 20th Century.
ORIGIN: Japan.
