Japanese Cloisonne Style Yellow Porcelain Vase 1960s

Vintage Mid-Century Japanese Cloisonne style yellow porcelain vase, pink roses with gold underlines on imperial yellow glaze, silvery rim. "Sigma The Tastesetter" paper label on the bottom, 1960s-1970s.

The vase is 7.1/4" [18.5cm] tall, 2.1/2" [6cm] across at the top; no chips, no hairlines, very good/ fine condition.

The Sigma Company was not a producer, it was importer and distributor of gift wares. Founded in the 1960's, Sigma was the gift ware division of its parent company Rockville International which was located in Garden City, New York. In the late 1970s, Rockville International became a part of the Towle International Company which was the leader in Sesame Street and Star Wars products. The Sigma Company was short lived, and many of its products are collectibles.
