Japanese Edo period shingen style jingasa samurai helmet, likely 18th-19th century. Lacquered wood with a gold overlay mon (crest) in a circular cartouche. The interior with red and gold lacquer with cloth straps.

Condition Report: The item is in good condition in general with no visible cracks or major losses. Wear throughout. There is a minute dent to the front. Along the exterior and around the edge of the hat, there are several lacquer losses. Heavy wear to the cloth components. No visible sign of restoration under UV light.
