Japanese Meiji Imari Porcelain Plate Garden Scenes

The plate has a nice lobed edge with a cut unglazed foot ring. A nice thick porcelain has been glazed with underglaze cobalt and over glaze enamels. The glazes have a nice smoothness with a shiny appearance. The designs are in panels with cranes, trees, flowers and fabric designs painted in red, green, gray, with black used to outline and accent. The central medallion is a stylized floral pattern painted in under glaze cobalt with extensive gold gilding.
The base is glazed. There are no porcelain marks or labels.
MEASUREMENTS
8 9/16” (21.7 cm) diameter x 1 3/8” (3.5 cm) tall. Weighs 13.1 oz (370 g)
CONDITION
The plate has no chips, cracks, or breaks. It rings like a bell. There a few wear scratches on the central medallion. The gilding is still strong, and the colors are bright and fresh.
