Japanese Meiji Lacquer Kodansu
DESCRIPTION: A Japanese Kodansu from the Meiji period composed of a Laquered wood and carved bone frame, decorated along the front with various gilt decorations depicting repeating shapes and floral patterns, fitted along the top with a bone panel painted with a lake scene with pheasant motifs. Completed with with brass acorn handles and etched hinges.
