Japanese Momoyama Helmet Black With Bear Fur

Japanese Momoyama-Azuchi period (1573-1603) samurai one-head shaped (zunari in Japanese) kabuto. This all-iron helmet has a very elegant shape, a unique shikoro (the part that protects the neck) the bands that composes the shikoro are covered with leather and offers a unique patina. A newer (20th century) gold maedate (front decoration) three arrows in the sun, is on the front. No rack included. 14 x 19 x 12 inches deep.
