Japanese Samurai Sword Katana Suishinko Masatsugu NTHK Suishinko Masatsugu was a swordsmith of the Naotane family, a samurai class of the first order. He learned sword techniques from the famous Masahide and later married his daughter. Masahide's youngest son died young and thus Masatsugu became the 3rd generation. This Samurai sword is a beautiful masterpiece of the Naotane style. The Hammon is special and characteristic Nie-deki Gonome with Midare and Nijuba mixed sunagashi and Kinsuji. The sword was forged in the late Edo period around the year 1859, truly a beautiful specimen. Masatsugu forged his swords in Tatebayashi under the Tokugawa Shogunate. Sadly, Masatsugu died in March 1911 This is the way you like to see a Samurai sword, also the Uchikatana koshirae. The kashira and tsuba are also a delight with beautiful gold details. The blade is extremely sharp, a great investment!
