Japanese Sliding Wood Door Panel with Stand

A Japanese sliding wood door panel / screen. Meiji Period. Vertical slats above a solid wood lower portion. Large iron and metal escutcheon plate measuring 12.5" x 13.25" decorated with a cat surmounting a ball (the ball hides the key entry). The door measures 78" x 45.25" x 2" thick. Rests in a black painted oak stand measuring 50" wide x 24" deep. Overall height in stand, 80".
