Japanese Woodblock Triptych
Toyokuni III (Kunisada I), Japanese, 1786-1864. Triptych is comprised of three woodblock prints, framed as one, which depicts an interior scene at night with a man seated, and four Geishas in the connecting rooms. Each is signed, two with Toshidama seal and Tsutaya Juzaburo's (publisher) seal on all three. Some fading and discoloration, minor rippling and spotting. Each image is approximately 9 1/4 x 13 1/2" h, in a contemporary decorated frame with some wear, 38 x 21" high overall. ESTIMATE $300-500
