Japanese Woodblock Triptych
Toyokuni III (Kunisada I), Japanese, 1786-1864. Triptych is comprised of three woodblock prints, framed as one, depicting an interior scene including Samurai and a Geisha wielding a sword. Each is signed "Toyokuni ga" (in toshidama cartouche) and contains Tsutaya Juzaburo's (publisher) seal. Each has been cut down; some losses, fading, and creasing. Each is approximately 10 x 14" h, in a gilt contemporary frame with some wear, 37 x 19 1/2" high overall. ESTIMATE $200-400
