Japanese Zen Style Ink on Paper Yoko-mono Hanging Scroll

Japanese horizontal hanging scroll (yoko-mono) featuring a minimalist Zen-inspired ink painting on paper. The composition depicts a stylized, calligraphic figure executed with expressive gestural brushwork, incorporating soft ink washes and flying white strokes to suggest rapid movement. To the left of the central figure is a two-line inscription in Japanese cursive script (sousho) containing characters such as o, shi, te, and toku. The work is set within a decorative golden-tan fabric mounting featuring a floral damask pattern.
