An early work by the now world-famous Catalan artist Jaume Plensa. The work consists of painted paper, a network of rope and a lid of a paint tin onto which the title "Believe Me" is painted. In his sculptures are monochrome human heads in which he does not process facial characteristics that should reveal ancestry or gender, he tries to reflect the versatility of people in a city. His collages consist of found objects from the urban environment and show iconography of different cultures in an image, showing the same diversity of a city as with his images. Signed and dated in the bottom left. Mixed media on paper: Chalk paper, plastic lid, rope. Provenance: Galerie Barbara Farber, Amsterdam. Frame equipped with glass.
