Bronze, gegossen, patiniert. Über hohem Rundsockel die nach dem Bade dargestellte Diana. Mercié war einer der erfolgreichsten Bronziers seiner Zeit. Er studierte an der École des Beaux-Arts in Paris und war Präsident der Societé des Artistes Francais und Grand Officier de la Légion d’Honneur. (†) (12200312) (13)

Bronze; cast and patinated. Diana after her bath on tall round base. Mercié was one of the most successful bronze sculptors of his time. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and was president of the Societé des Artistes Francais and Grand Officier de la Légion d’Honneur. (†)
