Condition Report:
The canvas is lined. The paint surface is stable and in good condition but lightly soiled. Upon close inspection, patterns of craquelure notably in the sky. Under UV light, minor spots of retouching to the sky, in places along the upper, lower, and right edges, and in places to the foliage across the center of the composition. Circular impression at lower center with possible retouching.
Catalogue Note:
While Robaut has dated this work to circa 1840-1845 in his catalogue Raisonné, Martin Dieterle has affirmed in his photo certificate that this work dates from an earlier period, around 1825.
