Early edition cast, signed "J Clesinger" (for Jean-Baptiste Auguste Clésinger, known as Auguste Clésinger, born in Besançon in 1814 and died in Paris in 1883) as well as the founder's stamp "Marnyhac Fondeur" and the stamp "Bronze Artistique de Paris". Brown-gold patina in very good condition. Fine details, beautiful craftsmanship. Approx. 17 cm high. Part of a series of busts made by the artist, representing famous women from history or mythology (Salome, Cleopatra, Herodias, etc.) .
