Chic Jean Dinh Van necklace from the iconic Menottes collection.
At first tiny handcuffs was a smart key ring that was quickly turned into a clasp and the Menottes collection was born - to symbolize union, love and attachment. Trendy paper clip link makes it even more desirable. This necklace is made of polished 18k yellow gold and stainless steel. Stamped with Dinh Van maker's marks and French marks. Comes with an original box. Dinh Van started his career as a jeweler in the workshops of Cartier Paris. Ten years later, in 1960, being talented and successful enough to leave Cartier, he opened his own business. He continued to work independently as well as make jewels for Cardin, Cartier and Swatch.
Stamped with the Dinh Van maker's mark and a hallmark for 18k gold.
Measurements: the chain part is 1/16 inches wide, the length is 17", "handcuff" diameter is 1/2".
Weight is 20.6 grams
