Lignes erronées
signé et daté 60 (en bas à droite)
technique mixte sur papier marouflé sur toile
38,3 x 55 cm; 15⅛ x 21⅝ in.
Exécuté en 1960.
Condition Report:
The work was inspected framed. The paper is well adhered to the canvas support. Upon close inspection, there is a potential loss to the paint toward the lower center of the central composition. All other surface irregularities, such as bumps, media accretions and thinner areas of paint, are in line with the artist's technique. Some short and fine cracks are visible in the thicker areas of impasto. There are some usual signs of wear along the edges and in the four corners. The work is in overall very good condition.
Provenance:
Galerie Tarica, Paris
Galerie Michel Couturier, Paris
Svensk-Franska Konstgalleriet, Stockholm
Pinto de Figueirido Collection, Lisbon
Christie's, London, 5 December 1979, lot 102
