Jean Laenen (Brussels at the beginning of the 20th century) was a Belgian renowned painter. He was active in Elsene - Brussels. Laenen preferred interiors, genre scenes, and portraits. He knew how to make optimal use of lighting effects. Several exhibitions, including "Het nationaal verbond der kunstschilders en beeldhouwers van Belgie te Brussel" in 1939. Works by him are depicted in the "Annuaire des beaux Arts I (1929-1930) page L. and in the Annuaire IV (1935-1936) page 94. Listed in the Belgian art books. International well-known painter.
