Inscribed “Artist’s Proof B on Japanese Paper” in graphite in the lower left corner. Dry stamp “Antarès éditions d’art Saint-Cloud” in the lower left corner. Under the mat, printed: “Jean Signovert, Tramassac, original two-color etching, Artist’s Proof on pearlescent Japanese paper” and “Antarès Catalog E C 23.” On the reverse of the mat is the print’s certification accompanied by a biography of Jean Signovert. This etching was printed in an edition of 135 copies and 10 artist’s proofs (HC) marked A through J, including this one. Plate size: 38 x 49.6 cm. Sheet size: 49.5 x 63 cm.
