Jean Théodore de BRY (Strasbourg 1561 - Frankfurt am Main 1623) : small print from the late 16th century "Le cortège de Bacchus" in the form of an ellipse, 9x12. 5cm, after Julius Romano (French name of the painter Guilio di Pietro di Filippo de Gianuzzi, known as Guilio Pippi, then Guilio Romano (Rome 1492 - Mantua 1546)) , one of the first mannerist artists of the Renaissance and Raphael's favourite student. Very nice piece in a very good edition, not described. The collection mark on the back is that of Jean de La Morinerie, architect. "Le cortège de Bacchus précédé de Silène, ivre sur son âne. Silène ne pouvant plus boire verse à terre sa coupe de vin".
