Jean Vendome Lapis lazuli, mother-of-pearl and sapphire demi-parure

Comprising: a pendent necklace centering a hexagonal lapis lazuli on a silver rope chain decorated with mother-of-pearl buttons embellished with oval and circular-cut sapphires, length approximately 410mm, signed J. Vendome, partial French assay mark for silver; and a pair of ear clips, each composed of a mother-of-pearl button enhanced with circular-cut sapphires, unsigned, French assay marks for gold; each with maker's marks for Jean Vendome.

Condition Report:
Necklace signed J VENDOME, partial French assay mark for 800 silver. Ear clips unsigned, additionally marked BTESGDG, French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Maker's marks for Jean Vendome, 352 rue Saint-Honoré, Paris. Lapis lazuli violetish blue of medium saturation, with typical inclusions, pyrite flecks, calcite inclusions, remnants of glue visible to the reverse. Chips and discolouration to the mother-of-pearl buttons, remnants of glue visible to the reverse. Sapphires violetish blue of medium strong to high saturation, slightly to moderately included, minor chips and nicks. Tarnish, scuffs and scratches to the metal consistent with normal wear. In good condition overall. Ear clips measuring approximately 20 x 20mm, pendant measuring approximately 60 x 30mm. Total gross weight approximately 134 grams.
