Jerry Lee Lewis: Concert Poster, 1958
A rare color, quad-size poster for Jerry Lee Lewis, The Treniers, and the Hedley Ward Trio at Sheffield City Hall, Yorkshire, U.K., June 11, 1958, including black and white photographs of Lewis and the Treniers.
40 x 30 in.
Jerry Lee Lewis was primed and ready to conquer England upon his arrival there in May 1958. It all blew up when the press discovered that Lewis had married his first cousin's teenaged daughter. The controversy that followed forced the tour to shut down after three dates. The performance at Sheffield never occurred but this vivid poster is an incredible relic of what could have been.
