First edition of one of the earliest Biblical dictionaries. The printer, Creussner, was a business associate of Anton Koberger and notable for having printed the first German edition of Marco Polo. H 9371*; BMC II 447; BSB-Ink I-135; Bod-inc J-095; Goff J-219; ISTC ij00219000.

Royal folio (389 x 275mm). 203 leaves (of 204, without final blank). Large red and blue ink initial with elaborate flourishing, smaller red and blue initials, red capital strokes (repair to top of first leaf, some dampstaining and staining at beginning and on final leaf). Modern quarter brown pigskin over wooden boards. Provenance: Johannes Joseph Helden (ownership inscription dated 1806 at Caesarea Regia University in Prague) – acquired from Lathrop C. Harper, Inc, New York, 24 June 1955.
