A mid 19th century garnet brooch, a late 18th century memorial brooch and an Edwardian amethyst and seed pearl snowflake brooch/pendant, the first of hollow knot design with engraved details, centred with three mixed-cut garnets; the second of navette shape, with glazed hairwork within a half seed pearl surround, back replaced with a panel of a similar date, inscribed ‘? Condition Report: First: The garnets are well matched and bright and lively. The mount shows light surface wear only, unmarked and untested. Gross weight 6.6gm.
Second: Adapated, the back and front are soldered together, and not very well - both taken from late 18th century pieces. The glass to the front is cracked.
Third: The pearls and amethysts are all present and correct, showing a little general surface wear; amethysts are quite dark. The mount shows general light wear all over. Gross weight 6.9gm.
