A diverse collection of over 65 pieces of campaign memorabilia, the majority of which is related to Jimmy Carter's 1976 presidential election campaign. Pieces include pinback buttons and jugates, flashers, coattail buttons, and lapel pins. Displayed in an aesthetically pleasing montage on a black felt-covered mat measuring 24.375" x 16.5". The lot comes with an optional wooden and glass showcase behind which the mat was originally displayed. There are many gems in this completely unpicked collection waiting to be discovered! Provenance: From the lifelong collection of a Greenwich, Connecticut gentleman.

Jimmy Carter received the Democratic Party presidential nomination in both 1976 and 1980, edging out of contention the youngest surviving Kennedy brother, Ted Kennedy, in 1980. Memorabilia in this lot demonstrates how Carter rallied the support of such special interest groups as Spanish, German, Italian, and Chinese speaking constituents
