Jimmy Carter and Gerald R. Ford Dual Signed Oath of Office Card Two Presidents on One Document

A printed card bearing the full text of the Presidential Oath of Office: "I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God." Below the oath appear the signatures of both Jimmy Carter, 39th President, and Gerald R. Ford, 38th President, each signed in black ink. Carter signs in his characteristic compressed cursive; Ford signs his full name "Gerald R. Ford" in a flowing hand beneath. Carter and Ford, political adversaries in 1976, became close friends in their post presidential years and frequently appeared together at public events. Dual signed pieces from both men on a single document are genuinely scarce. The Oath of Office context elevates this beyond a mere dual signed card into a document of constitutional resonance This item will be accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from One of a Kind Collectibles.
