Blue and red gouache on white wove paper, untitled abstract design with circles, signed* lower right corner (Jiro Yoshihara, 1905-1972). 15 7/8 x 10 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Unframed for inspection and shipping. Sold without frame.

Provenance: Property of a private Texas collector. This drawing, together with several others, was acquired by the consignor's family from a long-time California business acquaintance, Ichika "Robert" Imanaka, whose family was from Japan. Several of Robert Imanaka's family knew the artist as well as some of the artist's associates in the Gutai group. The consignor believes that one of Robert Imanaka's family members may have been a member of the Gutai group, but we have not verified that.
