Lyonel Feininger was a prominent member of Die Brucke and influential teacher at the Bauhaus.. Although he worked as a commercial caricaturist for newspapers both in the US and in Germany for twenty years, only beginning to practice fine art at the age of 38, Feininger is best remembered for his landscapes, which draw inspiration from a variety of artistic movements including cubism and expressionism. 4.5 x 8 inches paper; 8.5 x 11 inches framed.
