. A book beautifully preserved and bound in strong, later vellum. A small ownership label sits on the inner front board.

. The book is in superb condition, including a lovely engraved frontispiece and around 30 half-page engravings in text. The pot-pourri of calendrical, astrological, religious, iconographic and emblematic texts and images is very scare and exceptional in this superb condition.

. This is the only edition of a curious book. The author was a Jesuit (1601-1666) and published it to coincide with the jubilee of 1650. Ref: Backer & Sommervogel VII, 502.
