Joaquin Endara Ruiz (Ecuadorian, born 1933), lot of two oil on canvas paintings depicting nocturnal Ecuadorian colonial street scenes with illuminated architectural views beneath dramatic evening skies. Each signed J. Endara R. lower right and inscribed with title and location lower left. Presented in carved wood frames with linen liners and gilt inner borders. Approximate measurements: vertical work, frame 34.5 x 25.5 x 2 inches; canvas 25 x 16 inches. Horizontal work, frame 25.5 x 34.5 x 2 inches; canvas 16 x 25 inches.
Condition: Good to fair overall vintage condition with typical age-related surface wear, toning, and scattered craquelure throughout. The frames exhibit storage wear along the edges and corners.
