A signed first edition copy of "Promise Me, Dad" by Joe Biden. New York: Flatiron Books, 2017. 1st Edition, Octavo, [6], 260pp. Signed and inscribed on the front free end page, "Joe Biden." Cream-colored boards with the original publisher's dustjacket. Faint shelf wear with minor bumping to corners and spine. Overall very fine and boldly signed.

President Joe Biden's "Promise Me, Dad" is a deeply moving memoir about the year he lost his eldest son. Beau Biden was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2013, which his father believed was possibly a consequence of exposure to military burn pits in Iraq. He was admitted to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and diagnosed with an aggressive type of brain cancer, after which he went through multiple radiation and chemotherapy treatments. On May 20, 2015, he was admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and died ten days later, on May 30, 2015, at the age of 46.
