N.B.:
Klombeck was the best pupil of B.C. Koekkoek (1803-1862), the ‘prins der landschapschilders’. Klombeck painted summer and winter landscapes and forest views, in which he shows a strong influence of his famous teacher. This summer landscape is very close to the work of Koekkoek, in both composition and atmosphere.
