LARGE SILVER TEA POT.

Date: 1771-73.
Technique: Silver with inner-gilding. Wooden handles and wooden ball-shaped feet.
Description: On three slender, clasp-shaped legs with scalloped ornamentation and ball-shaped feet,
pear-shaped corpus with twisted features. In the lower part of the body three cranes with
keys attached to chains. On the sides two large, curved handles. The lid with berries as a
knob. Underneath the neck finely engraved coat of arms with motto "PERSEVF.RANDO" (?).
Weight: Ca. 1740g.
Measurement: Height 41,5cm.
Mark: Inspection mark Augsburg 1771-73 (Seling no.2400), maker's mark Johann Jakob II Biller (Master 1746-1777, workshop continuation until 1779-81, ibid. no.2366).
