John Chessell Buckler, British 1793-1894- Views of Bramshill House, Hampshire; each pencil, pen and grey ink, and grey wash on paper, each signed and dated 'J. Buckler 1818.' (lower right), 29.8 x 46.5 cm. and smaller, four (4). Note: Bramshill House, in Bramshill, northeast Hampshire, England, is one of the largest and most important Jacobean prodigy house mansions in England. It was built in the early 17th century by the 11th Baron Zouche of Harringworth but was partly destroyed by fire a few years later. The house, which shows the influence of the Italian Renaissance, was designated a Grade I listed building in 1952.
